Seeking Cinderella by Deirdre Dwyer

Seeking Cinderella is a new children’s audio drama, written and produced in Waterford! Gather your family, cosy up on the couch, you will be brought on a magical journey. Seeking Cinderella follows the life of Cara whose favourite bedtime story has always been Cinderella and, since her mother died, has been waiting for her very own fairy godmother to come and solve all of her problems.

Joining Cara on her journey is Hiroto who hasn’t read a bedtime story for years, he is too busy every night, elbow deep in the washing up, to even think about being rescued.

So wrap up warm this winter and join us on the glittering streets of Paris in December where we discover that fairytales rarely work out the way you expect and that sometimes the purple velvet jacket fits and that the best use of pumpkins can sometimes be pumpkin pies!

Seeking Cinderella is a third in series created by Deirdre as part of her artist residency at Garter Lane Arts Centre and follows the incredible success of The Snow Queen and The Little Robber Girl. The creative team from the previous year’s runaway series bring this unique children’s audio series to you in the comfort of your own home no matter where in the world you are. Created for children 7 years+, Seeking Cinderella features original music composed and created by Anthony O’Dwyer while this year’s illustrated packs will feature original illustrations from Dermot Flynn, Debora Adichi, Kate Escolin and Fergal O’Connor.
